About Arielle Cohen Gould, MSW RSW

Hi, I’m Arielle Cohen Gould. I’m a Registered Social Worker who works with adults and teens who are experiencing emotions that feel out of control, confusion about their past, and feeling exhausted in life. My goal is for you stop feeling so raw and start encouraging you to experience transformation and ease.

Guiding You Toward Growth and Transformation

Being a therapist is an honour. I feel privileged to hold space with sacredness for people’s most vulnerable moments, to serve as a compassionate witness, and to guide them towards becoming their most authentic selves. The greatest reward is to see clients leave feeling lighter, freer, and genuinely excited about their lives.

I am deeply committed to helping you see healing and transformation not only as possible but as inevitable.

Approach & Philosophy

My approach is trauma-informed, somatic-based, and grounded in harm-reduction and anti-oppressive principles. I am passionate about offering neuro-affirming and gender-affirming care backed by best practices and up-to-date research. I am also fortunate to have learned and worked with many BIPOC communities, educators and clients and am committed to ongoing anti-racist work within my practice.

I practice accountability and lifelong learning by participating in ongoing group supervision, peer consultations, and clinical supervision.

I value client feedback and will periodically check in with you to ensure our sessions meet your desired outcomes and therapeutic needs.

  • I believe that you—and everyone—are worthy of love and care

  • I believe that survivors are not what happened to them

  • I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole - their mind, body, and spirit.

  • I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with unconditional compassion

 My Story

I’m not just a therapist—I’m someone who understands what it means to navigate trauma and seek healing. Like everyone else, I’m human. My journey has included both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help others.

As a teen and young adult, I faced my own health challenges and sought therapy to work through trauma and big life transitions. My journey also included finding 12-step recovery, discovering the power of somatic-based therapy, and finding belonging within the LGBTQ2S and neurodivergent communities.

These experiences have not only shaped me but also deeply inform my practice. They fuel my commitment to creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued—because I know how transformative and rare that can be.
